Description:

The British Retirement Home Association was founded by the British Community in the mid 1980’s to create and maintain residential accommodation for elderly people of both British and other nationalities. It acquired a property known as Quinta da Fonte to be developed for this purpose. Today, Quinta da Fonte comprises 10 condominium style, self-contained apartments with a large living room/bedroom, plus en-suite bathroom and a kitchenette. Residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture and personal effects. There are also 8 large rooms for single occupancy available in the main building, each with adjacent bathrooms. The main building has a communal lounge and dining room. A secluded, mature garden adds to the calm and unique atmosphere of Quinta da Fonte.
